Hobbywing Platinum HV 150A V5

(Lipo 3-8S) BEC 10A

The Hobbywing Platinum series controllers are dedicated to helicopters and airplanes. They offer high performance and advanced features like "Governor" mode.
Hobbywing Platinum HV 150A V5 Brushless Controller (Lipo 3-8S) BEC 10A
For 550/600/650 class RC helicopter.

Hobbywing Platinum HV 150A V5
Controller for brushless electric motor Hobbywing Platinum HV 150A V4 BEC 10A. (Lipo 3-8s). For radio control helicopter or rc plane.
Do you know the particularity of Hobbywing Platinum ESCs? They have a Governor mode (regulation of the engine speed) of incomparable efficiency and precision, ensuring them a deserved success with pilots of radio-controlled helicopters! The HV 150A is no exception and pushes the bar even higher.
Double-sided circuit board for better cooling.
The double-sided structure of the circuit board has been redesigned to improve the dissipation of the heat produced during operation. This "open" design allowed for better airflow through the components. This results in a better cooling effect.
The use of thermally conductive tape on some components and the enlarged heatsink above the capacitors help dissipate heat more efficiently. To the benefit of the reliability and endurance of this electronics.
By further improving the cooling system, this new component ventilation design allows the controller to operate in a stable manner, at a controlled temperature, in the most extreme flight conditions.
Ready for Mikado VBar telemetry.
The Platinum 150A V5 is equipped with the Mikado VBar Control and is "VBar Telemetry Ready". (capable of monitoring electronics data through its telemetry functions).
A smaller size, but a higher power.
With its newly redesigned circuit, it has robust heat dissipation capability. This allows the Platinum 150A V5 to deliver a higher current (150A continuous/ 180A instantaneous). The ultra-compact design of the box contributes to the reduction of the footprint, which allows the ESC to integrate better in many types of radio-controlled helicopters without touching the bubble, and in narrow-body aircraft.
Superior speed governor capabilities.
The 32-bit processor, combined with the advanced algorithms developed by Hobbywing engineers are the key to maximizing the full potential of this new ESC. The speed regulation sensitivity is fully adjustable. This allows pilots to quickly find the settings that suit their style of flight, to transition through advanced aerobatics and 3D flight with ease and precision.
High power BEC circuit.
The high power BEC is integrated and fully programmable. The output voltage is adjustable between 5.4 and 8.4 Volts (in steps of 0.1 V) and the output current is greater than 10 A continuous (increased to 30 A instantaneous). Enough to provide an abundance of power consistently throughout the flight.
Additional security protection.
Multiple safety functions protect this controller: start-up protection, current protection, temperature protection, overload protection, throttle signal loss protection, input voltage protection. What effectively prolong the life of the ESC.
Synchronous rectifier technology with multiple advantages.
The ESC features an optimized synchronous rectifier that increases efficiency (DEO---driving Efficiency Optimization, or Active Freewheeling), with multiple benefits:
● Faster throttle response, increased flight stability and flexibility at the same time.
● Higher drive efficiency, therefore longer battery life.
● A lower operating temperature, therefore more reliability.
Multiple braking modes for airplane mode.
There are four braking modes in total. They are: Disabled Brake, Ordinary Brake, Proportional Brake, and Inverted Brake:
● If a braking mode is active, the braking force can be adjusted.
● In proportional braking mode, the braking force is automatically assigned by the position of the throttle stick.
● In reverse brake, the system is able to obtain and control forward and reverse.
Additional Features.
Comes with a stand-alone setting interface that expands a wide range of functions.
Connect the "LCD Multifunction Progam Box" configuration box or wireless OTA module via mobile phone for parameter setting.
Flight data recording function, such as:
● Data of minimum voltage, maximum current, maximum temperature, calibration speed, speed curve chart (helicopter storage fixed speed mode).
● Updatable firmware (LCD parameter box or OTA module required).
The Helistore review: At the end of 2021, Hobbywing hits hard again with its latest mid-power brushless controller. The numbers speak for themselves:
